Miriam Sanchez-Manzanares is an Associate Professor of Management at the Department of Business Administration at Carlos III University of Madrid. She received her Ph.D. from the joint doctoral program in Organizational Behavior at Complutense University of Madrid (Best Doctoral Dissertation Award) and her degree in Psychology from Autónoma University of Madrid. Also, she holds an M.A. in Human Resource Management from the same university. During her Ph.D. she was a visiting scholar at the Department of Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Management at University of Groningen (The Netherlands).

Currently, she teaches courses on Organizational Behavior and Leadership to both undergraduate students in Business Administration and postgraduate students in the Master in Management and Research Master in Business & Finance at Carlos III University.

Her research interests include the impact of diversity on teamwork behavior; shared cognition, adaptation, and performance in teams under changing situations; and collaboration in virtual work contexts. Her papers have appeared in the Academy of Management Review, Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Management, Journal of Business and Psychology and European Journal of Work and Organizational Psychology, among others.

In addition, she collaborates as an ad hoc reviewer for several international journals, such as Journal of Management Studies, Journal of Business Research, European Management Review, Small Group Research, and Journal of Personnel Psychology.
