On February 20th a new session of "Thursdays are for actuaries" took place.
On this occasion, the guest company was Willis Towers Watson.
Willis Towers Watson, who was attending the presentation cycle for the first time, is an American professional services company. Its main business lines are risk management and human resources consulting. It also has actuarial and investment consulting practices.
During the session, various topics related to actuarial practice were addressed in its three main business areas:
- RETIREMENT: which was carried out by Patricia Hinojal: Actuarial Consultant, where the various actuarial solutions for determining the appropriate instruments in corporate social security were addressed
- HEALTH & BENEFITS, Javier Martín-Gromaz: Health & Benefits detailed the different types of relationship with the final client, such as brokerage, consulting services, social benefits, expatriates, specific models of captive entities and pooling of risks., Welfare models etc.
- ICT - Insurance, Consulting & Technology: both María Jesús Guitard: Insurance, Consulting & Technology (ICT), P&C in the non-life insurance line and Héctor Coronado: Insurance, Consulting & Technology (ICT), Life in life insurance, analyzed the opportunity to develop Radar Life models whereby the five-minute rate on price comparison models can be modified to the insurance client, as well as the latest trends in advanced pricing in the international context.
The session concluded with the presentation of the HR policy of the entity making known the students the professional career and the criteria of the company to recruit actuaries.
