Markus Simeth is an assistant professor in the Business Administration department of the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M) since September 2015. He holds a MsC degree from LMU Munich and obtained his PhD from the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne. Prior to joining UC3M, he worked as postdoctoral researcher at KU Leuven for 18 months.

Markus is conducting research in the area of the Economics and Management of Innovation. More specifically, he is interested in topics related to linkages between profit-oriented firms and the scientific community, knowledge disclosure strategies, IP Management, and Open Innovation. At UC3M he is teaching the course "Innovation and Technological Change".
