13 UC3M degrees among the best in Spain in the latest edition of El Mundo’s ranking of 50 careers
Carlos III University of Madrid (UC3M) has 13 of its degree programs included in the latest edition of the “50 Degrees” ranking published by the newspaper El Mundo. This report identifies the 50 most in-demand degrees among students and selects the five best universities in Spain to study them. In this edition, UC3M has increased its representation compared to last year, a significant result considering that the University only offers 16 of the 50 degrees analyzed in the study. Applications for first choice are approaching 7,000. A notable increase is the 73% rise in international students from outside the EU, Latin America, and China. Carlos III University of Madrid (UC3M) ranks among the world’s best universities in 20 academic fields in the 2026 edition of the QS World University Rankings by Subject, compiled by the international consultancy Quacquarelli Symonds. This result represents an increase of four disciplines compared to the previous edition and seven compared to 2024.
